“If biofilms keep chronic wounds from healing, then Debrichem® is the solution”
It is with great pride and anticipation that Debx Africa (Pty) Ltd are launching Debrichem®, a novel desiccant gel that offers an effective alternative to surgical debridement in South Africa.
With the SA registration of Debrichem® as a Class C medical device on 16 April, 2021, we are now in a position to offer you the most convenient way to destroy biofilms in chronic wounds through a once-off, 60 second application of Debrichem.
The formation of the biofilm, mostly invisible to the eye, is the leading cause of non-healing wounds due to the chronic infection that it harbours. Debrichem is an acidic gel that desiccates the biofilm and the pathogens, after application directly to the wound bed in a fast and simple outpatient procedure.
Debrichem has also been registered as a Medical Device in the EU and Australia.
The experience in over 1,000 of previously non-healing wounds shows that after only one treatment with Debrichem®, more than 90% of chronic wounds start healing reaching granulation after a median of 22 days. [1]
We are eager to hear about your experience and to that extent offer limited free Debrichem® vials conditional on you documenting the treatment of non-healing chronic wounds with Debrichem through an international wound care app, called ImitoWound, and sharing the outcome with us. The ImitoWound app( https://wound.app ) is downloadable from either the Google Playstore or the Apple app store and Debx will sponsor the use for the initial introduction period with an electronic voucher for registered health care professionals.
In order to get access to the free trial product and/or the ImitoWound app, please register on : www.debx.co.za and we will gladly assist you further.
Sincerely,
Laura Johnston Director
